Section One: Purpose and Mission Statement:
Article I.) The name of this document shall be the Light Aspect Constitution, hereby referred to as the Constitution.

Article II.) The name of this organization shall be the Light Aspect of the Force Academy (henceforth known as the FA).

Article III.) The purpose of this organization shall be to contribute to and continue pursuit of lifestyle and spiritual goals set out by each individual in a respectful manner that encourages a healthy, safe and appropriate learning environment.

Article IV.) The purpose of this organization's council, hereby called the Light Council, shall be to regulate the Light Aspect through leadership and instruction. To contribute thoughtfully and appropriately to the Force Academy, as well as to address any concerns brought to this council by members of the light aspect, or concerns brought to the aspect by members of the FA community.

Section Two: Definitions and Policy of Conduct within the Light Aspect.
Article I.) General Definition of Light Jedi; what we do, what we are, what we seek and encourage, what honor, and what we are not and do not do.
Sub-section A.) What Light Jedi Do:
1.) Help Others; Provides Support, Renders Aid - This comes in a variety of forms, from simply being a shoulder to cry to volunteering in disaster relief programs (Red Cross, United Way, Salvation Army, etc.).
2.) Defend the Weak - Defending those that cannot defend themselves. This could be defending an individual from online harassment. This could mean stepping up to have a harmful element removed - such as having a "Forum Troll" banned. It could be calling 911 on individuals and informing that you have done so. If one is a Peace Officer than they do this in many ways as well.
3.) Meditate - For understanding, experience, and access to the Force. To promote a healthy mind and body. To clear and calm the mind and spirit.
4.) Use Diplomacy - From conflict resolution, mediation, compromise, making deals, a Jedi seeks to use their minds and words before resorting to any other more "forceful" tactics.
5.) Teach and Guide Others - This is to say they always seek to encourage individuals to find their own path in life, at the same time as encouraging and supporting paths that are more harmonious and helpful with the world and the people around them - seeking to guide them to peaceful and nurturing solutions.
Sub-section B.) What Light Jedi Are:
1.) Patient.
2.) Respectful/Courteous - Common courtesy and respect to all, general politeness.
3.) Disciplined - Keep to their studies, training, and path, even when we really do not want to.
4.) Calm - This is to express our inner calm and bring that to an outward expression as well. We are not robot or emotionless, simply calm individuals who are at peace.
5.) Strong - This is to say Jedi are pillars of strength more emotionally and spiritually than physically. Jedi are the lighthouse in the storm, sometimes that is shown physically, but mostly that is a strength of heart and understanding.
6.) Reliable - One can depend on the Light Jedi, especially to be a Light Jedi.
7.) Objective - They withhold bias, seeking all sides and angles of a situation).
8.) Observant - Awareness, observation, a Light Jedi seeks to understand and be aware of their surroundings, including people and their motives.
9.) Dedicated - To living the path daily and upholding its values.
Sub-section C.) What Light Jedi Seek/Encourage:
1.) Peace - Both inner peace and outward peace, resolving conflict.
2.) Knowledge - We are always students, learning new things, and growing daily, a Jedi seek to preserve knowledge and learn from it.
3.) Serenity - Calmness, inward and outward, serenity is sought and lived by Light Jedi daily.
4.) Harmony - To be one with the world and their place within it. To find balance in mind, body, spirit. Including diet, nature, and technology.
5.) The Force - To explore, experience, grow, and define the ineffable source which we call the Force.
6.) Guidance - To offer our advice, knowledge, to help people who looking for a signpost. Jedi act as guides, not the destination, not the way, but guides to help them find the way.
7.) Honesty - Light Jedi seek self-honesty above all and encourage honesty within others. Jedi honor truth and respect honesty, even harsh truth.
Sub-section D.) Light Jedi Honor:
1.) Personal Pursuits - Such as enlightenment, Reiki, Chess, career as a Doctor, Martial Arts Instructor, Zen Teacher, etc. These are personal pursuits not directly related to the Light Jedi Path as a whole and are encouraged, but not required.
2.) Their Students - A Light Jedi respects the young (in age and in knowledge) for they can impart wisdom as well. A Light Jedi honors the position of guiding others and treats their students with the honor and respect they deserve (especially for following this path).
3.) Their Teachers/Elders - Without our seniors (in age or knowledge) we could not get to the level we have or want to. Light Jedi respect the position of mentor as it is not an easy one and show that respect accordingly.
4.) Society's Laws - We cannot believe ourselves above the laws of our individual countries and internationally. A Light Jedi seeks to honor and encourage the laws.
5.) The Organization(s) - We would not have come as far as we have without our virtual home and organization. Thus as Light Jedi we should honor and encourage the place that encourages and honors our path and growth on that path.
6.) The Path - If we do not hold ourselves to the ideals of our path, no one will. If we do not uphold the values we seek to follow than the path is worthless. We honor our path by living our path.
7.) Individuality and Personal Paths - They respect the decisions of others and the views they chose to live by. Whether that is the Christian lifestyle, the Wiccan, something mixed, nothing at all, all lifestyle choices are honored as long as they do not directly endanger the greater good (such as following the path of the Zodiac Killer, as an extreme example).
Sub-section E.) What Light Jedi Are Not and Do Not Do:
1.) Are not Star Wars Fanatics - Nor is one required to become a Star Wars Geek in order to be a Light Jedi.
2.) Are Not Arrogant or Over-Confident - We are not infallible, we do make mistakes. We must be prepared for failures and setbacks and not discount such possibilities.
3.) Are Not Invasive - We respect privacy and do not indulge in personal curiosity. A Light Jedi respects the privacy of others.
4.) Are Not Defeatists - The only true failure is failing to get back up after one falls. We do not allow failure, falls, and mistakes to control or define us. And we do not overly plan for failure or mistakes, instead seeking a more positive and objective approach.
5.) Are Not Reckless - Haste makes waste. Light Jedi do not rashly act/react, they observe, are patient, and action when action is necessary/needed.
6.) Are Not Stubborn- - We must be able to see and admit our own short-comings and faults. In this a Light Jedi must always be open to the possibility of being right or wrong or neither.
7.) Do Not Wear Jedi Customs - Outside of personal fun and recognized holidays such as Halloween.
8.) Do Not Believe Yoda is Real - Or any Fictional Character from Star Wars for that matter.
9.) Do Not Worship George Lucas.
10.) Do Not Allow Emotions, Passions, and/or Bias to interfere with their judgment and duties.
11.) Do Not Bully Others.
12.) Do Not Infringe on the Free Will of Others - unless it will harm the greater good (example: A Jedi will not force their opinion upon someone for their own good, this is the definition of a tyrant. However if that person is planning on (or is) hurting several people, than it is a Jedi's duty to protect those other people even though it infringes on the one person's free will/choice. - 'the greater good.' AKA = "The needs of the many out weight the needs of the few.")

Article II.) Policy of Conduct in All Light Aspect Discussion Forums.
Sub-section A.) Please keep all conversation as profanity free as possible. Keeping in mind that this is a online site which does have and can have young children. This is a place of learning and we expect all members and guests to behave in an Academic Demeanor. Ergo - No Adult Language Please. No cussing, it is simply unnecessary within these halls.
Sub-section B.) Mutual Respect Policy is in effect here. When posting, replying, discussing, and debating, please keep all online interactions civil. Name-calling, flaming, and any other text/images with malicious intent will not be tolerated and will be dealt with swiftly. No attacking of individuals (regardless of aspect and action taken), no direct insults. You may seek to "attack" ideas, points made within a thread, but do so in an mature and educated manner.
Sub-section C.) This is a place of academic growth, please act as such. Any harassment or bullying (defined as repeated documented cases of negative responses and direct insults) of members will be moderated by the Light Council.
Sub-section D.) Remember that this is the Light Aspect Forum - please seek to keep material relevant to the growth and advancement of the Light Jedi (whether about physical, mental, or spiritual advancement).
Sub-section E.) If you have any questions, comments, or concerns for the Light Council (an issue with a member, a problem with policy, etc.), you are encouraged to bring up such issues to a recognized Light Knight or Master, along with all pertinent information so it can be presented to the Light Council for proper consideration.
Sub-section F.) Any individuals posting within the Light Aspect Discussion forums hereby agrees to be held to the conduct policy given above and all enforcement of said policy.

Article III.) Enforcement of Conduct Policy:
Sub-section A.) Warning.
Sub-section B.) Locking of a Topic.
Sub-section C.) Editing of Posts, with notation.
Sub-section D.) Deletion of Posts; with a copy sent to the Light Council forum for records and explanation given to the poster.
Sub-section E.) Temporary Ban from the Light Discussion Forums.
Sub-section F.) Full Ban from the Light Discussion Forums.
Sub-section G.) Depending on severity enforcement can skip steps and progress to the necessary step according to the violation.

Section Three: Membership Titles and responsibilities.
Article I.) Members of the Light Aspect shall fall under one of the following titles: Adapt, Apprentice, Knight, Master.

Article II.) The qualifications and responsibilities for a Light Aspect Adept are as follows:
Sub-section A.) Interest in training within the Light Aspect.
Sub-section B.) Training within the Light Aspect, yet not apprenticed under any recognized Knight or Master of the Light Aspect.
Sub-section C.) Follow all rules as set forth by this document, and as set forth by the administrating body of the Force Academy.
Sub-section D.) Continue with training as directed and outlined by the Education Director.

Article III.) The qualifications and responsibilities for a Light Aspect Apprentice are as follows:
Sub-section A.) Currently enrolled within a Light Training program; and in a working relationship with a recognized Knight or Master of the Light Aspect.
Sub-section B.) Follow all rules as set forth by this document, and as set forth by the administrating body of the Force Academy.
Sub-section C.) Continue with training as directed and outlined by the Apprentice's working Knight or Master.

Article IV.) The qualifications and responsibilities for a Light Aspect Knight are as follows:
Sub-section A.) Completed a full Light Training Program and/or apprenticeship with a recognized Light Jedi Knight or Light Jedi Master of the Force Academy.
Sub-section B.) Nominated for Trials (held by the Light Council) by a recognized Light Jedi Knight or Light Jedi Master of the Force Academy.
Sub-section C.) Determined to have met the requirements of a Light Jedi Knight based on moral aptitude and compass, educational progression and maturity by the Light Council; as outlined in Section Two, Article I and all sub-sections therein.
Sub-section D.) Follow and complete duties as assigned by the Light Council.
Sub-section E.) Training Adepts and Apprentices as appropriate.
Sub-section F.) Active participation within the Light Aspect.
Sub-section G.) Follow all rules as set forth by this document, and as set forth by the administrating body of the Force Academy.

Article V.) The qualifications and responsibilities for a Light Aspect Master are as follows:
Sub-section A.) An individual must complete the Basic Light Jedi Academy; even if they seek Reciprocity.
Sub-section B.) Six Months after gaining the title Jedi Knight, either by Apprenticeship or Reciprocity, a Light Aspect Council Member (of any rank) may nominate a Jedi Knight for Promotion. This nomination must provide clear reasoning for the promotion: This can include other Jedi Sites and letters of recommendation from other Leaders of various sites.
Sub-section C.) A current Light Jedi Master on the Council of Masters must then Second the Nomination, also stating their reasoning.
Sub-section D.) At this time the nomination will be put to a Council Vote. The Council vote needs to be a unanimous Agreement by all Active Council Members. Upon which the newly appointed Light Jedi Master shall join the Council of Masters.
Sub-section E.) Light Jedi Masters shall follow and complete duties as assigned by the Light Council.
Sub-section F.) Training Adepts and Apprentices as appropriate.
Sub-section G.) Active participation within the Light Aspect.
Sub-section H.) Follow all rules as set forth by this document, and as set forth by the administrating body of the Force Academy.

Article VI.) A member may relinquish their position(s) and/or title. Or have their title and/or position(s) removed.
Sub-section A.) Should any Member leave the Light Aspect of the Force Academy for a period longer than one (1) year, they automatically relinquish all rights and privileges to any titles and positions they may have held.
Sub-section B.) Should a member leave by deleting their account they automatically give-up all rights and privileges of title and position(s).
Sub-section C.) Member may have their title and/or position removed for disciplinary actions, as outlined in the Guardian Regulations.
Sub-section D.) Once a title and/or position is removed, the individual must go through the outlined processes of this document in order to regain any position and/or title once held.
Sub-section E.) Previous Light Knights and Masters may suggest the Reciprocity procedure. However it must be followed as outlined in Section Three, Article VII, and all related sub-sections.
1.) A previous Knight or Master cannot nominate themselves. It must be done by a current Light Council member in good standing.

Article VII.) Reciprocity - A recognized Knight or Master of standing Light Beliefs may be considered for accelerated trials or immediate promotion upon meeting the following criteria:
Sub-section A.) Candidate must complete a minimum of one (1) month of active membership at the Force Academy forum site, and contribute at a minimum twenty (20) substantive posts prior to nomination for consideration for elevation to the title of Knight at the Force Academy.
1.) A "substantive post" is defined for these purposes as a post not in the "Say Hi Here" and "Fun Stuff" forums, that holds one (1) or more five(5) sentence paragraphs, and either contributes to discussion in an existing thread, or creates discussion in a self-started thread. The meeting of this criteria is to be determined by the Guardian, and confirmed by either a member of the Education Department, the Head of the Light Aspect, or the Deputy Head of the Light Aspect.
2.) "Active Membership" is defined as making a minimum of one (1) substantive post, as defined above, a week. The meeting of this criteria is to be determined by the Guardian, and confirmed by either an Education Department member, the Head of the Light Aspect, or the Deputy Head of the Light Aspect.
Sub-section B.) Candidate must be nominated and vetted by at least one(1) member in good standing who is active on the Light Council.
1.) "vetted" is to be defined as having been confirmed by a member on the Council as having been on another reputable Jedi website, and having achieved the rank of either "Knight" or "Master" on aforementioned site.
Sub-section C.) Another member on the council shall second the nomination. Upon this requirement being met, the candidate will be notified via PM, and will be asked to write an essay explaining the training they received at their home site.
Sub-section D.) Upon receipt of this essay, the essay will be posted in the Light Council area for review and discussion. A discussion period of one (1) week will take place.
Sub-section E.) After the one week discussion period, a three (3) day voting period will take place. A majority vote of 1/2 plus 1 of the current active council who voted is required for acceptance on a first attempt reciprocity. A second attempt reciprocity requires not less than 3/4 majority acceptance among voting council members. A third attempt reciprocity requires one hundred percent (100%) of voting council members to be in favor of the nomination.
1.) A maximum of 3 attempts at reciprocity will be allowed. Beyond the 3 attempts, the member will no longer be considered for reciprocity. It is the responsibility of the Guardian to keep record of votes and decisions, as well as tallies of multiple votes, in the event the candidate is not accepted on the first try.
Sub-section F.) Upon completion of all above requirements, the candidate will be named to the title of Light Jedi Knight at the Force Academy, and will be notified in public. If the candidate is deemed to have not met the requirements by the council's vote, he or she will be notified by private message and/or e-mail.
Sub-section G.) There will be no additional reciprocity consideration beyond granting of the level of Knight based on prior experience. To achieve the title of Master, any reciprocity Knight will be required to participate in the same processes as any Knight at the Force Academy who wishes to be elevated to the rank of Master at the Force Academy.

Section Four: Education, Communication, and Guardian positions.
Article I.) Education Director - The Education Director shall be appointed by the Light Council as a whole by way of nomination, acceptance and vote. The Education Director shall be responsible for:
Sub-section A.) Development and implementation of educational programs.
Sub-section B.) Placement of Adepts not currently apprenticed within said educational programs.
Sub-section C.) Encouraging Knights and Masters within the aspect to apprentice with accepted students as appropriate.
Sub-section D.) Address any concerns that are presented before him or her regarding conflicts between Knights or Masters and their Apprentices in regards to training matters.

Article II.) Placement Role - The Education Director will have an assitant which will be fulfilled by the Placement Role position. The Placement Role shall be appointed by the Light Council as a whole by way of nomination, acceptance and vote. The Placement ROle shall be responsible for:
Sub-section A.) When the Education Department is ready to have a new semester, the Placement position places the proper posts in the Light Discussions forum to get students in place on opening date.
Sub-section B.) When an apprentice/adept is made a knight, placement will act as an informational person for the new knight, helping them to acclaimate to the council and answer any of their questions.
Sub-section C.) When the first two are not needed, to help the Director of Education in the education department.

Article III.) Communications Director - The Communications Director shall be appointed by the Light Council as a whole by way of nomination, acceptance and vote. The Communications Director shall be responsible for:
Sub-section A.) Ensuring that the Head of the Light Aspect is passing on all relevant council communications as appropriate.
Sub-section B.) Maintaining a quarterly newsletter to be published in the Light Discussion area in January, March, June and September of each year.
Sub-section C.) Addressing any concerns brought to the Light Aspect of the Force Academy by members of other communities outside of the Force Academy.

Article IV.) Light Aspect Guardian - The Guardian shall be appointed by the Head of the Light Aspect. The Guardian shall be responsible for:
Sub-section A.) Enforcing the regulations labeled previously and henceforth in this document.
Sub-section B.) Addressing membership internally or outside of the Light Aspect who act inappropriately within the confines of the Light Aspect jurisdiction, to include the Light Aspect instructional area, and the Light Aspect training areas.
Sub-section C.) This position shall be regulated by the conditions outlined in the Guardian Regulations (Section Four, Article V, and all related sub-sections), which the Guardian must abide by.

Article V.) Light Aspect Guardian Regulations - All those that hold the Guardian position must abide by these regulations.
Sub-section A.) The Guardian's jurisdiction is listed as all Light Aspect Members and all Light Aspect Forums.
1.) A Guardian cannot enact the privileges of this position over other members of other aspects, their respective forums and visitors.
2.) This is a position of privilege. Similar to Sergeant-at-Arms and Peace Officers. And should be treated as such; both by the Guardian and the Light Aspect.
Sub-section B.) The Guardian must be held to the highest standards of the Light Jedi - held accountable to exemplify the definition of the Light Jedi as described in Section Two, Article I, and all related sub-sections.
1.) Also the Guardian is held accountable for all cases, information, misinformation, given and not given during an investigation and case.
2.) The Guardian is held to these regulations at all times. Acting outside these regulations and the Jedi Values and Ideals is grounds for swift removal by the Light Council.
Sub-section C.) The Guardian is free to take action and issues punishments as needed. The authority of the position is supported by the Light Council. However in order to enact these "punishments", all regulations must be followed:
1.) Punishments given solely at the discretion of the Guardian (without conference with the Light Council or individual Mentors) can only be written warnings, essay (public or private) assignments, and request for an public apology.
2.) All punishments must be logged, backed by a full case. A "full case" will consist of evidence, testimony, dates, links, clear reasoning to why the action was taken and why it needed to be taken.
3.) The cases should be presented to the individual being given the punishment. As well as their Instructor/Teacher (should they have one). Also a Thread (or even sub-forum) should be kept with all cases and punishments given. If no such sub-forum or thread exists, it is the Guardians repsonsibility to keep all records/cases and have back-p of all records/cases.
4.) Double-Jeopardy: No Evidence, Testimony, "Crimes," etc. can be used against a person more than once. Only one punishment can be given per case, per individual.
5.) Cases and Punishments involving Padawans should be discussed and brought up with the individual's Mentor/Instructor first - in hopes of resolving the issue without strict disciplinary action.
6.) A Guardian's concern should be to correct the behavior and lead one to the Jedi Path. Not simply to offer discipline, but to correct the root of the problem.
7.) Guardians should always seek diplomatic routes before direct action is taken.
Sub-section D.) All testimony taken is kept anonymous. Names are kept on file (preferably hard disk) for records and management sake. Also when a "Judge" oversees a case, they are allowed to look at who the testimony is coming from - so they can verify if necessary as well as judge the validity of the testimony.
Sub-section E.) If a Guardian acts without sufficient evidence, no evidence, and/or proves to be abusing the system they are to be removed effective immediately pending a case of their own - with the possibility of losing any other positions and/or titles (such as Councilor) they may hold.
Sub-section F.) A case must be filed/presented with facts, evidence, and if possible testimony. This ensures no abuse of power takes place. Hearsay is simply not enough. A full case must be filed (for smaller actions) or presented to a "Judge (for more serious actions)."
Sub-section G.) Judges will vary depending on Punishment and Individuals being investigated.
1.) For administrative actions (which pertain to high ranking Light Aspect members) that person will be a Force Academy Administrator (such as banning actions cases will be presented to Emma and/or Colin).
2.) For those in an Apprenticeship, the Judge may be the Teacher/Instructor. If that is not plausible due to whatever reason, than the Light Council as a whole will be brought in. If necessary, most actions should not require involvement, still discussion with the individual's instructor is highly advised.
3.) In title and position demotion the case will be presented to the Light Council as a whole.
4.) If a Judge is necessary the default judge will be the Light Council itself - with a majority rule basis as the ruling action.
Sub-section H.) Likewise ultimate decision rests on an impartial "Judge." Thus the person(s) would review the case presented and decide if the requested action is acceptable.
Example - if a two day ban is requested, they must weight that against the case and actions presented. Will that help or simply cause the situation to escalate?
Sub-section I.) There must be a full case, with the desired action/punishment listed. This case must list dates, links, quotes, and testimony. As well as a valid and logical argument for the reason of the case and the action desired.
Sub-section J.) The case presented must make clear stances against the Light Jedi accepted Behavior; as defined in Section Two, Article I, and all related sub-sections.
Sub-section K.) More harsh action, such as temporary banning, will be reserved for higher ranking and position holding individuals of the Light Aspect. As these individuals hold a higher level of responsibility in representing the Light Aspect.
Students will more than likely face essay writing assignments and public apologies.
1.) It is about pointing out the mistake, owning up to it, and using it as a learning experience to become a better Light Jedi. It is not meant to make one feel bad or have guilt. It is not meant as a penal system - more of encouraging Light Jedi to be examples of Light Jedi.
Sub-section L.) Banning, henceforth called Time of Reflection, shall not be permanent, unless the entirety of the FA (administrators, Inner Council decide otherwise).
1.) Time for Reflection shall not be longer than One Week. And a solid case must be presented.
2.) Time for Reflection are to simply give the member time to reflect, thus the name (a period of meditation for the individual to reflect and grow).
Sub-section M.) The Guardian position will be backed, endorsed, and supported by the Light Aspect Council at all times, except if the Guardian acts counter to the regulations listed and/or the Light Jedi Values and Ideals, as defined in Section Two Article I and all related sub-sections.
Sub-section N.) The Guardian's direct jurisdiction is the Light Aspects Members - anywhere that Light Aspects Members participate within the Force Academy is usable and admissible under the Guardian's scope.
1.) Acting as a Light Jedi outside the Light Aspect Forums is expected even more. All Light Aspect members are expected to adhere to the Constitution and Core Light Jedi Values and Ideals (Section Two, Article I, and all related sub-sections) especially outside the Light Aspect forums.
Sub-section O.) The Guardian should not derail topics in order to enforce the regulations of the position. Instead the Guardian is encouraged to handle the situations within the Light Aspect Forums and through Private Messages.
1.) If direct and immediate intervention is necessary, especially to publicly show the Light Aspect does not condone certain actions (words, statements, etc.), than the Guardian is permitted to publicly address the issue. This should only be done to ensure the Force Academy populace that the situation and conduct has been noted, is being dealt with, and not supported by the Light Aspect.

Section Five: Councils, Terms, and Procedures.
Article I.) The Light Council - this council shall consist of not more than thirteen (13) members at any given time. And no less than three (3) members at any given time. The Light Council should be made up of elected and appointed members of the Light Aspect only.
Sub-section A.) Not more than seven (7) members shall be appointed by the preceding council.
1.) Appointed members are to be announced no later than the 10th of the year in which they are to be placed, to allow for cross-training and continuity of leadership.
2.) Appointed members officially are placed as of 12:01 AM GMT ("Zulu") on the 15th of each appointment year. The period for appointment shall occur on even-numbered years, such as 2010 or 2012.
3.) Appointment is for a 2 year period.
Sub-section B.) Not more than six (6) members shall be elected by the Light Aspect community as a whole.
1.) Nominations for these members are to take place from the 1st of January each election year to the 6th of January each election year. Elections for these members are to take place from the 7th of January each election year to the 10th of January each election year.
2.) Elected members are to be announced no later than the 10th of the year in which they are to be placed, to allow for cross-training and continuity of leadership.
3.) Elected members officially are placed as of 12:01 AM GMT ("Zulu") on the 15th of each appointment year. The period for election, with the exception of 2010, shall occur on odd-numbered years, such as 2011 or 2013.
4.) Election is for a 2 year period.
Sub-section C.) Appointed council members (as describe in Section Five, Article I, sub-section A) shall be greater than elected council members (as described in Section Five, Article I, sub-section B), yet not by more than two (2) appointees.
Sub-section D.) All appointed and elected individuals must be recognized as a Light Jedi Knight or a Light Jedi Master upon assignment to the council.
Sub-section E.) At all times, a minimum of one (1) Light Jedi Master is to be on this council.
Sub-section F.) If at any time a member of the council steps down from his or her position, they are to be replaced in the same manner they were appointed or elected. The member filling the seat shall remain on the council for no longer then the duration of time between when he or she is placed on the council and when his or her predecessor's term was supposed to expire. After this period is up, this member may be re-nominated or re-elected as appropriate, if so chosen.
Sub-section G.) Should a Light Council member be removed from the position and/or remove themselves from the Council position, they forfeit all rights and privileges of said position(s).
1.) They may not re-join the Light Council for a period of at least six (6) months after their return.
2.) They must also address any concerns the current Light Council may have in relation to the length of the absence, the reason for leaving, and/or the reason they were removed from the Council.
3.) They must re-gain their position as outlined in the Constitution - in other words the position must be earned back.

Article II.) Junior Council - this council shall have not more than six (6) Apprentices assigned to it at any given moment.
Sub-section A.) Members of the Junior Council Member group are permitted to engage in conversation within the Light Council discussion area, but are restricted from voting privileges within the Light Council discussion area, with no exception.
Sub-section B.) Junior Council Members are required to keep confidential all council matters not brought to the attention of the general membership by the Head of the Light Aspect or the Communications Director. Violation of this rule will result in automatic expulsion from the Junior Council Member group.
Sub-section C.) An Apprentice may remain a member of this group for not more than twelve (12) months but not less than two (2) months, except when members are found in violation of rules as stated above.

Article III.) Master Council - The Master council shall be composed of all Light Masters presently residing at the Force Academy.
Sub-Section A.) The Master Council shall be for the assessment and promotion of potential Masters of the Light Aspect; as dictated in Section Three, Article V, and all related sub-sections.

Article IV.) Head of the Light Aspect - The Light Council, once re-organized, shall hold a session to elect a Head of the Light Aspect. This can be the current position holder or a new prospect from within the council group.
Sub-section A.) The elected time for this position shall be for a one (1) year period.
Sub-section B.) To qualify for this position, the nominee must be a recognized Knight or Master within the council group.
Sub-section C.) The Head of the Light Aspect shall hold administrative power, and relinquishes his or her right to vote unless to break a tie within the council.
Sub-section D.) The responsibilities of the Head of the Light Aspect include, but are not limited to, publicly recognising and announcing new Knights and Masters to the Light Aspect, passing on information from the council to the general membership as appropriate, and acting as the primary representation of the Light Council to the general membership of the Force Academy.
Sub-section E.) The period of time designated to elect a Head of the Light Aspect is to follow the procedures as set forth in the by-laws. In the interim, the outgoing Head of the Light Aspect shall maintain his or her duties as appropriate.

Article V.) Deputy Head of the Light Aspect - The Light Council shall select a Deputy Head of the Light Aspect to assist with administrative concerns, and assume the duties of the Head of the Light Aspect in the event he or she takes a short period leave.
Sub-section A.) The position of Deputy Head shall be appointed to he or she who receives the second most number of votes in the Head of Light Aspect voting poll.
Sub-section B.) In the case of a unanimous decision for the Head of the Aspect. A separate vote will be held for the Deputy position. Same rules as the Head Position.
Sub-section C.) The Deputy Head does not relinquish his or her right to vote unless acting in the capacity of Head of Light Aspect.

Article VI.) Voting Procedures of the Light Council - The Light Council shall have a voting procedure for all considerations unless otherwise specified within this document.
Sub-section A.) Item that is to be voted on is proposed by a member of the council.
Sub-section B.) Item that is to be voted on is seconded by another member of the council.
Sub-section C.) A discussion period of no less than one (1) week, but no more than two (2) weeks is to occur, and is to be defined by the Head of the Light Aspect within the discussion after the item being voted on is seconded.
Sub-section D.) At the end of the discussion period, a voting period lasting not less than three (3), but not more than five (5) days shall be initiate by creation of a poll by either the Head of the Light Aspect or the proposing Council Member. The length of time set to vote shall be defined by the Head of the Light Aspect, or proposing Council Member, within the post initiating the vote.
Sub-section E.) Voting members of the Light Council shall cast one (1) vote each.
Sub-section F.) For approval, vote must have a 'yes' vote of not less than 51% of voting members. If vote is a tie (50%), then the Head of the Light Aspect is to cast a vote.
Sub-section G.) Votes are to be cast anonymously unless otherwise specified by the Head of the Light Aspect.

Article VII.) Committees - Committees are to be formed by the Light Council as needed for specialized tasks.
Sub-section A.) Committees are to be voluntary in nature.
Sub-section B.) Committees are to have defined goals, a defined date of initiation, and a defined suspense date for completion. After the suspense date, the committee is to be dissolved, unless the task is not completed and the council deems it necessary to keep the committee intact until completion of task, and issue a new suspense date.
Sub-section C.) Any member of the Light Aspect may participate in a committee.
Sub-section D.) Committees answer to the Light Council as a whole, unless designated as a special committee to the Head of the Light Aspect.

Section Six: Constitution Procedures, Amendments, and Dissolution.
Article I.) This document is to be considered binding and permissive or regulatory in nature, dependent upon their statements contained. The Constitution is to be strictly adhered to, and any conflict within this document is to be addressed by the presiding council.

Article II.) The Operating year shall start on the 15th of January each year, and end on the 14th of January each year.

Article III.) Notification of any changes to the Constitution or By-Laws to the general membership MUST be made PUBLICLY via utilization of the Light Lecture Hall immediately upon approval of said changes. Changes will be highlighted in the most recent posting of each document for a period of not less than one (1) week.

Article IV.) Amendments - The Constitution may be added to or subtracted from by a residing council.
Sub-section A.) Proposal of amendments to this constitution may be made by any member of the general membership of the Light Aspect of the Force Academy.
Sub-section B.) Proposed amendments are to be placed on the Light Council board for vote by said Council.
Sub-section C.) 100% of current council members must vote on Amendment.
Sub-section D.) For Amendment to be approved, a required approval of not less than 90% of the presiding council must be achieved.

Article V.) This Constitution can be dissolved under certain requirements.
Sub-section A.) In the event of dissolution of the Light Aspect of the Force Academy, this Constitution and its attached documents are to be considered null and void.
Sub-section B.) Under unanimous decision of the Light Council and majority vote of the Light Aspect this document and all related materials may be dissolved and considered null and void.
